Support through profound transitions
Reproductive transitions touch many parts of life—our sense of self, our relationships, our bodies, and our plans for the future.
Therapy can offer a place to think and feel more clearly, make sense of what feels uncertain, and find steadier ground.
SUPPORT FOR
• Conception & infertility
• Pregnancy
• Postpartum & parenthood
• Pregnancy loss
• Birth experiences
• Identity & relationships
• Family building
• Decisions & uncertainty
My interest began at Columbia University and the New York State Psychiatric Institute, where I worked for several years studying mother–infant interaction and trained in the Special Needs Clinic. My dissertation examined the transition to motherhood, with particular attention to the psychological changes that accompany becoming a parent.
That work continues to shape how I think clinically about pregnancy and parenthood: not simply as life events, but as developmental transitions that can bring questions of identity, attachment, relationship, and one’s own early experience newly into view.
A longstanding interest
My work is informed by years of research and clinical training in parent–infant development, attachment, and interaction.
